About Markdown to HTML
Markdown to HTML converts standard Markdown — including GitHub-flavored extensions (tables, task lists, fenced code, autolinks, line breaks) — into clean HTML you can paste into a CMS, email, or static site. Toggle between the raw HTML and a live preview.
Powered by 'marked', a fast, well-maintained Markdown parser. Runs entirely in your browser, so the content you're converting (drafts, internal docs, customer support replies, code snippets) never crosses the network.
The output is standard, dependency-free HTML — no embedded scripts, no inline styles, no frameworks. That makes it easy to paste into a WordPress / Ghost / Notion / Confluence rich-text editor, an email composer that supports HTML, or a static site generator. The live preview lets you see exactly what readers will see, including how lists, tables, and code blocks will render.
How Markdown to HTML works
- Paste or type Markdown into the editor on the left.
- The 'marked' parser converts it to HTML on the fly — no button press needed.
- Toggle between Preview (rendered HTML) and Source (the raw HTML output).
- Click Copy HTML to grab the result for pasting into your CMS, email, or static site.
- Tables, task lists, fenced code, autolinks, and hard line breaks all work out of the box.
When to use Markdown to HTML
- Draft a blog post in Markdown, then convert to HTML for pasting into a CMS that doesn't have native Markdown support.
- Convert a README into HTML for embedding on a marketing landing page.
- Compose rich-text emails by writing Markdown and converting on the way out.
- Migrate documentation from a Markdown source to an older HTML-only wiki system.
- Render Markdown comments or descriptions for inline display in a custom app.
- Quickly preview how a Markdown file will look once published.
